The Legal and Compliance Officer ensures that all business operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies while providing legal guidance to support the company's objectives. This role involves drafting and reviewing legal documents, monitoring regulatory developments, and leading compliance initiatives to safeguard the organization's integrity and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Advisory & Documentation

  • Provide legal advice to management and business units.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare and review legal correspondences to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Regulatory Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track developments in Singapore regulations, including PDPA, AML/CFT requirements, and MAS guidelines.
  • Prepare concise summary reports and communicate regulatory changes to management.

Compliance Projects & Governance

  • Lead internal compliance initiatives such as compliance training, policy updates, and template standardization.
  • Ensure proper documentation and version control of compliance policies and procedures.

Audit & Record-Keeping

  • Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Support management reporting and compliance.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with internal departments and external parties to address legal and compliance matters.
  • Provide guidance on compliance risks for new projects and business activities.

Ad-Hoc Projects

  • Take on relevant ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of legal experience, with at least 1 year in a relevant industry (Law, Finance, Business) is required.
  • Experience in financial services or lending companies preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of fintech regulations, MAS guidelines, and PDPA, AML/CFT laws preferred.
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Sharp analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, meticulous, and proactive.
  • High level of integrity and accountability.
  • Collaborative, with a learning mindset and growth-oriented attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to Php80,000.00 per month
