MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS TECHNICAL a. Perform Arterial Blood Gas Extraction and Analysis.b. Perform the following Respiratory Therapy modalities:c. Aerosol Therapy (Ultrasonic Nebulization/ Jet Nebulizer)d. Chest Physiotherapye. Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing (IPPB)f. Incentive Spirometryg. Purse Lip Breathingh. Cough Instructioni. Peak Expiratory Flow Rate Determinationj. Spontaneous Breathing Parametersk. Pulse Oximeter monitoring and troubleshootingl. Airway Suctioningm. Oxygen Therapy (set up, administration and monitoring) - Calibrate and troubleshoot mechanical ventilatorsAssess patient's condition and patient's needs before, during and after the procedures. - Observe infection control measures at all times for patient and personal safety.Prepare and check equipment, medicines and supplies to be used for the procedures.

COLLABORATION - Ensure proper functioning, maintenance and availability of equipment and facilities.- Create and maintain therapeutic environment by providing privacy and comfort and safety.- Participate in the implementation of cost- cutting measures.- Promote good interpersonal relationship among co-workers.- Take part in formulating, revising or modifying nursing procedures and techniques.- Communicate and act as liaison between patient, physician and other hospital personnel.

REPORT/RECORD MANAGEMENT- Document all incident reports accurately and timely.- Record all borrowed department records properly in the logbook.- Check that all pending procedures and request ordered through phone or computer is executed completely.- Complete and correct patient profile; charging and posting of readers.
