Lead Strategic Growth and Operations for IT Consulting in Asia

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Tech Expansion Specialist to lead and drive the business operations, talent strategy, and commercial growth for our client's IT Consulting footprint across Asia (Philippines and neighboring markets). This is a senior, remote leadership role requiring strategic vision, deep operational discipline, and significant experience in the technology services sector.

Mandatory Time Alignment: This role requires a mandatory overlap of 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM EST (Night Shift / Mid-Shift in PH) to work closely with the North American head office.

The Tech Expansion Specialist will function as the primary operational leader for the Asian region, accountable for ensuring the successful scaling of IT consulting and staffing services. Responsibilities span strategic process definition, international talent acquisition, vendor management, and strict performance tracking, all while maintaining effective communication with US/Canadian leadership.

Job Responsibilities
  • Set up and manage local vendors (coworking, tools, payroll partners, etc.) to support the team.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for consultants and operational roles in Asia (sourcing, screening, shortlisting, offer coordination).
  • Manage and support a multicultural/offshore team across multiple time zones, driving productivity, alignment, and accountability.
  • Implement and maintain KPI frameworks, OKRs, and performance dashboards for the regional team.
  • Own day-to-day business operations for the Asian footprint.
  • Support expansion of IT consulting and staffing services in Asia: assist in market research, lead generation, and sales coordination with the Canadian team.
  • Translate high-level strategy into clear operating rhythms, processes, SOPs, and dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with local business practices, contracts, and vendor agreements.
  • Maintain a mandatory overlap of 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM EST (non-traditional hours).
  • Serve as the primary operations contact between the Asian team and the client's leadership.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively—written reports, regular check-ins, and escalation of risks or issues.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding, documentation, and continuous improvement of people processes.
  • Support the client in negotiating contracts, rates, and terms with offshore consultants, agencies, and vendors.
  • Coordinate with sales / business development to ensure operational readiness for new client engagements.
  • Track and report on key commercial and operational metrics to onshore leadership (pipeline, utilization, staffing, delivery risks, etc.).
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in operations, business management, talent management, or project leadership, ideally within IT, tech consulting, or professional services.
  • A college graduate with a degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated exposure to sales / business development or supporting commercial teams.
  • Proven experience in international recruitment (sourcing talent across countries, working with remote consultants, agencies, or BPOs).
  • Solid experience negotiating contracts, rates, and terms with contractors, vendors, or agencies.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills in English – both written and verbal.
  • Strong understanding of KPI frameworks, OKRs, and performance management tools.
  • Strong track record managing offshore or multicultural teams across multiple time zones.
