Virtual Rockstar is hiring a full-time, Medical Biller to support the billing operations of a growing pediatric therapy billing team located in Arizona. If you're experienced with insurance claims, detail-obsessed, and ready to make a meaningful impact on patient care behind the scenes, we want to meet you

What You'll Do

Medical Billing & Claims Follow-Up

  • Manage high-volume insurance claims follow-ups (goal: 1,000/week post-training)

  • Submit and track claims using platforms like UHC, Availity, BCBS, Waystar, and more

  • Post insurance payments and adjustments accurately

  • Investigate and appeal denied claims

  • Resolve billing discrepancies quickly and professionally

Insurance Support

  • Verify patient insurance coverage

  • Obtain pre-authorizations for procedures

  • Update patient records with accurate insurance data

  • Communicate with insurance companies to confirm benefits and coverage

Administrative Support

  • Respond to patient inquiries via email and phone

  • Maintain and update electronic medical records

  • Support day-to-day admin tasks like documentation and task creation

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in medical billing, insurance claims, or healthcare admin

  • Familiarity with multiple payer portals (UHC, BCBS, etc.)

  • Strong working knowledge of payment posting, claim appeals, and insurance guidelines

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

  • Comfortable working remotely with Google Chat, Meet, Gmail, and Voice
