Salary: $1300+ shift differential and benefits

Job Summary: This role presents a unique opportunity at the intersection of Accounting and Finance. The Controller will lead a team to seamlessly handle the Controllership responsibilities while also possessing a strategic financial mindset to drive, propose, and advise on business decisions using real-time financial data.

The Controller will provide oversight for accounting, finance, budgeting, and payroll. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the preparation of bank draws and monitoring cash flow. Controller shall prepare 'auditable' financial statements for review by management and shall coordinate the preparation of income tax returns across all of the entities.

• Lead a team of accountants and bookkeepers to handle all items below
• Manage financial risk, financial planning, record keeping and financial reporting for multiple entities
• Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements for each company, including intercompany eliminations for aggregate reporting
• Prepare backlog, monthly KPIs and new client setup processes
• Prepare and track monthly billings and accounts receivable. Work with team members to follow-up on outstanding balances
• Prepare and track month-end reports on project, client and company level
• Work with division leaders for ad hoc reporting
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and record month-end and year-end adjusting entries
• Prepare and review general ledger account reconciliations - primarily travel expense
• Oversee tax filings by providing tax information to preparers
• Manage company accounts payable
• Process payroll and related third party billings (401k, disability withholdings)
• Work with COO on approval and payment of monthly/quarterly/annual bonus calculations - statements
• Treasury management functions, as needed
• Prepare 1099s
• Create annual budgets
• Other tasks as assigned or required based on business needs
• Continuously lead improvements in efficiency, accuracy and reliability of financial data

Qualifications:

- CPA license required (active and in good standing); other additional licenses are preferred

- Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in combined accounting and finance

- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar leadership role

- Proven experience with U.S.-based clients and timelines

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

- Fluent in English in both speaking and writing

- High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail
