Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Food safety, or related fields is advantageous.

  • 2-5 years in a manufacturing or commissary environment.

  • Bakery or commissary environment experience required for manufacturing background.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team and oversee production processes.

  • Understanding of dough preparation, baking, packaging, and quality control.

  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards.
  • Ability to supervise, motivate, and train staff.
  • Ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Efficiently manage production schedules and meet deadlines.
  • Clear communication with team members and management.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Manage production schedules to meet delivery deadlines and order requirements.
  • Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished products.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate bakery staff and production workers.
  • Enforce hygiene standards and safety protocols in accordance with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the production area.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and packaging materials.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely supply of raw materials.
  • Report and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Prepare reports on production performance, issues, and improvements.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Communicate with sales or client teams regarding production timelines and specifications.
