The Accounting Staff (Audit) is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and analyzing daily hotel transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies. This role covers auditing sales reports, guest billings, front office transactions, payment receipts, room charges, and other hotel-related financial activities. The staff will support monthly financial reporting, verify supporting documents, conduct variance analysis, and assist in maintaining accurate accounting records. The position requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work closely with hotel operations and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit daily hotel transactions including sales, room charges, payment postings, adjustments, and billings.
- Review guest folios, POS reports, front desk transactions, and supporting documents for accuracy.
- Verify completeness of receipts, invoices, cash reports, and hotel revenue logs.
- Reconcile sales reports versus system records (POS, PMS, cashier reports).
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal hotel policies.
- Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with hotel staff to resolve issues.
- Assist in preparing financial schedules, audit findings, and monthly reports.
- Maintain organized documentation and digital records.
- Support inventory audits, cashier audits, and night audit validation when required.
- Perform other accounting duties assigned by the Accounting Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related course.
- 1–2 years experience in auditing, accounting, or hotel finance (Hotel experience is a strong advantage).
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, auditing procedures, and financial documentation.
- Experience with hotel systems (PMS/POS) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel and other accounting tools/software.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Can work independently and coordinate well with hotel operations.
- Willing to work on-site and meet reporting deadlines.
