The Warehouse Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all warehouse operations adhere to established quality standards and procedures. This role involves overseeing inbound quality inspections, monitoring warehouse processes, and implementing corrective actions to maintain product quality throughout the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Standards Development:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality standards and procedures for warehouse operations.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and customer requirements.

  • Quality Assurance Audits:

  • Conduct regular quality audits and inspections of warehouse processes, equipment, and facilities.

  • Identify and address potential quality risks and non-conformances.

  • Inbound Quality Control:

  • Oversee the inspection of incoming materials and products to verify compliance with quality standards.

  • Coordinate with suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Warehouse Process Monitoring:

  • Monitor warehouse operations to ensure adherence to quality procedures and guidelines.

  • Identify and investigate quality-related problems and implement corrective actions.

  • Non-Conforming Product Management:

  • Handle non-conforming products in accordance with established procedures.

  • Coordinate with relevant departments to determine appropriate disposition (e.g., rework, scrap, return).

  • Quality Data Analysis:

  • Collect, analyze, and report on quality data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.

  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Staff Training and Development:

  • Train and develop warehouse staff on quality procedures and standards.

  • Promote a culture of quality awareness and excellence.

  • Supplier Quality Management:

  • Manage relationships with suppliers and ensure their compliance with quality requirements.

  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments as needed.

  • Customer Quality Complaints:

  • Investigate and address customer quality complaints.

  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations or quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of quality management principles and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, ERP systems).

Additional Skills (Preferred)

  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with quality management software
  • Knowledge of specific industry standards or regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO)
