Position Summary:

The role provides a combination of investment banking, private equity, and renewable energy project development experience in an exciting industry with multicultural and regional collaboration across its offices in Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage extensive financial models and conduct quantitative analyses on key investment targets;
  • Identify new opportunities and formulate robust investment cases and proposals in the renewable energy industry;
  • Conduct due diligence processes and identify key flaws and upsides on potential acquisitions and strategic joint venture partnerships;
  • Work with the team and other related departments to raise project finance debt and equity funding;
  • Assist in contract negotiations of key commercial agreements;
  • Assist in day-to-day requirements of Lenders and JV Partners;
  • Assist in the corporate finance and restructuring workstreams to meet the requirements of the business;
  • Assist in corporate governance and structuring to protect shareholder and investor interests;
  • Assist in both buy-side (M&A) and sell-side transactions (Strategic JVs) in due diligence and execution of transactions.
  • Support the team in preparation of internal memos required for investment approval;
  • Maintain asset management reports for PH renewable energy portfolio for the various stakeholders;
  • Work with regional counterparts as the need arises;
  • Understand the interplay of the various facets of the business (e.g. technical, finance, community relations, etc.) to create recommendations for corporate decisions;
  • Collaborate with professionals from different backgrounds and points of view to create solutions and mitigate risks; and
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pre-requisites:

  • BS/BA in Management Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, or any related fields
  • 3 to 5 years in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity functions
  • Proficient in financial modeling, valuations, and quantitative analysis
  • Ability to work on several projects concurrently, and the willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Amenable to work on-site
