Core Responsibilities:1) Research & Conviction buildingConduct deep, bottoms-up research on markets, sectors, and company specific opportunities.Build clear theses: what's changing, why now, why this team, why this wedge, what breaksMaintain a "knowledge base" by sector2) Financial ModelingBuild models from blank sheet (Excel/Google Sheets), including:-Unit economics, revenue, CAC/LTV, payback, contribution margin-Scenario/sensitivity analysis, runway, burn multiple, and financing needs3) Pipeline OwnershipHelp run the investment pipeline end-to-end:-Inbound triage, first-pass screens, CRM hygiene, diligence checklists4) Daily reporting & team cadencePublish a daily update to keep decisions moving:-Updating of reports, status, valuations-Active diligence status, blockers, and next actions5) CommunicationWrite clearly and conciselyPresent analysis with strong point-of-view, not ambiguityRequirements:2-4+ years in VC, private equity, investment banking, equity research, corporate development, strategy, or similar high-rigor investing/transaction role.Proven ability to build financial models from scratch (not just "edit templates").Strong ability to apply structured problem-solving frameworks to ambiguous markets.Ability to evaluate a startup not just as a deal, but as a business by analyzing strategy, defensibility, etc. in an ecosystemProven experience in conducting market landscape analysis, including identifying trends, white spaces, incumbent moves. etc.Strong research and analytical skills: market sizing, competitive landscape, business model analysis.Clear communicator in writing and verbally; can translate complexity into decisions.self-starter with high attention to detail and strong follow through.Nice to have:Direct early-stage investing experience(screen-> diligence -> memo -> close).Experience evaluating PH/SEA tech markets and founder ecosystems.Comfort with lightweight automation (Sheets formulas, basic scripting, dashboards).Portfolio monitoring and post-invest support experience.How we work:High ownership.
