Job Summary

The Power BI Reports Engineer is responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining data analytics and reporting solutions that support data‑driven decision-making across the business. This role focuses on Power BI development, semantic modeling, and data visualization to deliver high‑quality insights to stakeholders. The ideal candidate is data‑oriented, analytical, and an excellent communicator—not purely a programmer—capable of transforming business requirements into intuitive and actionable reports.

Job Details

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Work Setup: Hybrid (Every Monday in the office)
  • Shift: Night Shift (Eligible for 20% Night Differential)
  • Holidays: Follows US Holidays

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
  • Refactor and modernize legacy or existing reports to align with current standards and design principles.
  • Build and enhance semantic models to support scalable and accurate reporting.
  • Translate business requirements into data‑driven reporting solutions with clear visual storytelling.
  • Utilize defined Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done to ensure high‑quality project delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify needs, and deliver insights that support decision‑making.
  • Provide analytics support and troubleshoot issues related to reporting and data accuracy.
  • Participate in future reporting enhancements, including planned adoption of React for self‑service reporting.
  • Work within an agile environment using tools such as JIRA (ServiceNow experience is a plus but not required).

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Power BI Developer, or similar data-focused role.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query/M, data modeling, and visualization best practices.
  • Solid understanding of semantic models and structured reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in explaining data insights to non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently on tasks and deliver projects aligned to defined quality standards.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience working with JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar ticketing and workflow management tools.
  • Familiarity or interest in React for future reporting initiatives.
  • Experience rewriting or upgrading legacy reporting solutions.
  • Broader exposure to BI or analytics tools outside Power BI.
