Overview

The Importations Officer is responsible for managing the importation process, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, coordinating with suppliers and freight forwarders, and maintaining accurate import documentation. This role involves coordinating import shipments, monitoring delivery schedules, conducting customs clearance activities, and supporting efficient import operations.

  • Coordinate import activities, including purchase order placement, shipment tracking, and delivery scheduling.
  • Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure timely and accurate delivery of imported goods.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders to provide updates on importation status and address any issues.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, including proper documentation, tariff classifications, and valuation of imported goods.
  • Prepare and submit import declarations, licenses, permits, and other required documents to customs authorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Graduate of Business or Finance related courses preferably Customs Administration.
  • With 2 to 3 years experience in customs regulations, import documentation, and trade compliance.
  • Familiarity with freight forwarding, transportation modes, and Incoterms.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
