About the Role

We've partnered with an Australian construction company built on trust, teamwork, and growth. They deliver reliable, high-quality contracting services across multiple sectors. You'll join a detail-oriented team responsible for material and labour takeoffs, quote preparation, and tender submissions—helping the company win more projects and stay ahead of its pipeline.

What you'll be working on:

  • Prepare accurate material and labour takeoffs from construction drawings, mainly timber frames, cladding, and fixouts.
  • Develop and submit estimates using internal templates.
  • Assist with BOQs, RFQs, RFIs, and tender documentation.
  • Liaise with suppliers for updated pricing and collaborate to refine pricing strategies.
  • Maintain version control and estimate logs.
  • Confidently use Ground Plan and Ascora to deliver takeoffs on time.
  • Participate in video meetings (Zoom) during work hours (Mon–Fri, 9 am–3 pm AEST) to support team collaboration.

What we're looking for :

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in residential or commercial carpentry estimating, preferably on Australian projects.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant education in construction, engineering, or quantity surveying are also welcome.
  • Strong understanding of building plans and construction methods.
  • Proficiency in estimating software, including Ground Plan and Ascora.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
