MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's degree holder in Meteorology, Environmental Science, or other related field to Natural Sciences, Disaster Risk Reduction, or Project Management. Advanced degree/certificate in Project Management is advantage but not required.

Experience:

  1. With two (2) – three (3) years of experience in project management or implementation, multi-stakeholder collaboration and coordination, and research and development activities.
  2. Experience with government institutions, including work and research and development, activities, in multi-stakeholder projects or programs, coordination, and management of international and national meetings/workshops.
  3. Experience in implementing or managing foreign-assisted or locally funded projects and programs in the field of climate risk management, early warning system, disaster risk reduction and management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical assistance in the implementation and facilitate the activities
  2. Coordinate with other stakeholders to ensure that the project aligns with the target activities especially the deliverables of key partners that he/she is assigned to;
  3. Prepare and submit progress reports, technical reports, and other reports as necessary in a timely manner, as required by the Project Officer;
  4. Monitor the progress of the deliverables and provide process improvement recommendations that may be favorable to the project;
  5. Maintain close communication and coordination with key partners and project sites, as well as with OCD Central Office and concerned Regional Offices for the implementation of project activities;
  6. Assist in facilitation of procurement activities, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, new vendor selection processes, renewal solutions, maintenance, and support;
  7. Support the project site team lead on implementing project activities;
  8. Participate in the conduct of research, fieldwork, and data collection, as may be required;
  9. In the performance of the foregoing duties and responsibilities, may be authorized to go on official travel and reimburse traveling and related expenses;

    Ensure that gender equality, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability are incorporated in the work plan and implementation of project activities in the project site; and
  11. Performs other functions as maybe directed.
