Selling Area Supervisor

The Selling Area Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the supermarket's sales floor. This role ensures excellent customer service, proper product display, inventory monitoring, cleanliness, and coordination of sales personnel. The Supervisor supports the implementation of sales strategies and helps drive the achievement of sales targets and store goals.
Sales & Customer Service:
-Supervise and ensure prompt, courteous, and efficient service to customers.
-Address and resolve customer concerns, complaints, and inquiries.
-Monitor and maintain high standards of customer engagement among staff.
Merchandising & Inventory:
-Ensure that shelves are fully stocked, clean, properly labeled, and organized.
-Implement product displays and planograms according to company standards.
-Monitor stock levels, coordinate with warehouse/purchasing for replenishment.
-Oversee FIFO (First-In, First-Out) policy implementation to minimize spoilage and wastage.
Team Supervision:
-Supervise, guide, and train selling area staff (cashiers, merchandisers, baggers).
-Prepare daily work schedules and assign tasks.
-Monitor attendance, punctuality, and grooming of assigned personnel.
-Conduct briefings to align the team with sales targets and promotions.
Store Operations:
-Ensure cleanliness and safety of the selling area. -Conduct regular inspections to identify issues needing immediate attention.
-Assist in handling opening and closing procedures.
-Support smooth coordination during peak hours and special sales events.
