Importation / Shipping Assistant Officer
Job Description
Inter-Island Shipments
- Process inter-island shipment orders, including receiving orders from Sales Executives, coordinating with the Warehouse Team for order picking, and preparing invoices.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and airlines for shipment bookings and scheduling.
- Coordinate with third-party trucking companies for reefer truck rentals when required.
- Handle and complete documentary requirements for inter-island shipments.
- Secure COMI and MIC documents for meat products in compliance with NMIS regulations.
- Apply for shipping permits for meat products.
- Complete and process LTP permit requirements for items regulated by BFAR.
- Process CPR documentation for FDA-regulated products.
- Coordinate with third-party cutting facilities for the cutting and preparation of meat products.
Importation Assistance
- Provide operational and administrative support to the Importation Officer.
- Create Purchase Orders (POs) in the system for service providers to facilitate payment processing.
- Complete documentary requirements for the processing and renewal of permits under the Bureau of Customs (BOC), BFAR, NMIS, and BAI.
- Ensure monthly compliance with water analysis testing requirements in coordination with the City Hall.
- Secure and manage cash advances as petty cash funds for importation and inter-island shipment-related expenses.
