About the role

We are seeking an Import Assistant to join our dynamic team at SOP Steel Sales Center, Inc.' in Quezon City Metro Manila.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate and track the import process for incoming goods and materials, liaising with suppliers, customs brokers and freight forwarders
  • Prepare and submit all necessary import documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates to internal stakeholders
  • Assist with the processing of import duty and tax payments
  • Maintain detailed records and logs of all import activities
  • Support the wider import/export and customs team as needed

What we're looking for

  • Graduate of any four-year business course or other related courses
  • Strong understanding of import regulations, processes and documentation requirements
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Excel, and the ability to learn new software systems
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders
