Beginning with web-based solutions around risk advice and compliance tools to leading multinational organisations, we rapidly moved through provision of risk management and compliance applications, to complete enterprise planning and monitoring systems.

Our current systems connect live risk and WHS information from an extensive repository of risk and safety data, to proprietary algorithms to provide automated risk platforms built for any size and organisational structure. This ensures organisations of all sizes can accurately and efficiently identify and mitigate any risk in a timely fashion to reduce injuries, environmental catastrophe and major security breaches including acts of terrorism.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Azure Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions. You will be responsible for shaping the technical architecture across our platforms, integrating cloud services, and ensuring seamless system performance while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture: Design and implement scalable, secure Azure-based architectures using microservices and cloud-native principles.
• Database & Storage: Architect and optimise data solutions using Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Table Storage, Azure Data Lake Gen2, and related microdatabase technologies.
• API & Backend Development: Build and optimise high-performance RESTful APIs using C# .NET Core and support distributed system architecture.
• Search Infrastructure: Design and maintain Elasticsearch deployments to ensure fast, reliable search functionality.
• Integration: Collaborate with frontend teams (React) to integrate backend systems and define API/data flow standards.
• Azure Services: Leverage Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, and other services to build cloud-native solutions.
• Performance & Reliability: Perform system tuning, scalability assessments, and implement robust monitoring and alerting.
• Leadership: Provide architectural guidance, mentoring, and stakeholder alignment on technical requirements and solution design.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience designing microservices and cloud-native architectures on Azure.
• Expertise in Azure services (App Services, Functions, Cosmos DB, DevOps, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch and distributed search solutions.
• Proficiency in C# .NET Core; exposure to Python or is a plus.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating frontend systems (React).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (preferably Azure DevOps).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Agile development practices.
• Understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with serverless architectures.
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are an advantage.

Work Schedule (Day shift)

• Monday to Friday; 7AM-4PM (Manila Time)

Work Setup (WFH)

• Permanent Homebased
• 3 Months Project Based (with possible of extension)
• Candidates are required to use their personal device
