This position requires an individual with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a solid understanding of Philippine tax laws and regulations. The Accounting Associate will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, with a specific focus on tax-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

  3. Monthly Summary list of sales and purchases (VAT Relief)
  4. Quarterly Summary of 2307 (Cert. of Creditable Tax Withheld at Source)
  5. Good stocks (giveaways)
  6. Cash Receipts
  7. Purchases (Expenses)
  8. Petty Cash Vouchers
  9. Various Merchandise Sales Report (Alfamart Trading Philippines Inc., Zalora, Wholesale Commodity & Exchange Inc., Family Shoppers)

  10. Responsible for maintaining and keeping of files:

  11. Sales Invoice

  12. Delivery Receipts
  13. Collection Receipts
  14. Attachment of per customer
  15. Payable documents (Check vouchers)
  16. Petty Cash Vouchers
  17. BIR Returns (1601-E, 1601-C, 2550M/Q, 1702Q, 2307), O.R., and Other Attachments

  18. Assists in field works, if necessary, like going to the bank for check encashment, deposits or payments, submission/filing of documents to BIR and SEC, or for payment of Government statutory contributions and taxes.

  19. Responsible for writing in the books of accounts.

  20. Keep sensitive and vital information confidentially whether acquired verbally or in print concerning the affair of the Group and/or its officers and abstain from discussing with anybody in and out of the Group.

  21. Perform others tasks which may be assigned from time to time.

Taxation:

  • Handles BIR tax filing and preparations of returns and other documentary compliances.
  • Assist in preparation and filing of compliances to SEC and City Hall.
  • Research and analyze tax issues.
  • Assist with tax audits and examinations.
  • Advise on tax implications of business transactions.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting, with a strong emphasis on taxation.
  • Strong understanding of Philippine tax laws and regulations (e.g., Tax Code, BIR regulations).
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
