The PET/CT NURSE

JOB OVERVIEW:

Plays an important role in assisting the technologists and physicians to carry out PET/CT procedures. Well trained in patient's history taking, in educating about the procedure, patient care all though out the procedure, and ensuring safety.

Our PET/CT Center prioritize the safety of the staff and patients against Covid-19 and compliant with the minimum health standards set by the government.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Obtain informed consent from the patient.
  • Assess patient for allergies before the procedure.
  • Obtain a complete medical history of the patient (current medical condition/s, medications being taken, other procedures taken prior to PET/CT scan.
  • Provide information about the procedure which includes preparations, expectations during the procedure, duration of the procedure, and the dye/contrast/radiotracer that will be used.
  • Observe and immediately report any signs of allergic reaction/s (itching, headache, vomiting, nausea, difficulty in breathing/swallowing, etc.) after the injection of contrast/ radiotracer.
  • Provide post-procedural education to the patient.
  • Handles cancer patients and minimum exposure to Covid-19 environment

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be Bachelor/ College Degree; Board/ Professional License Passer in Nursing or any equivalent.
  • At least 1(one) year of working experience in the related field.
  • Knowledgeable in IV insertion, patient care, history taking, and computer literate.
  • Can speak and write in Filipino/ English fluently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php23,000.00 per month
