Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEPS components in construction projects.
• Develop budgets and financial plans for projects, ensuring all costs are accounted for.
• Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to procure MEPS services and materials.
• Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure that work is being carried out according to the contract.
• Perform valuations of work in progress and prepare interim and final payment recommendations.
• Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
• Administer and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
• Resolve any contractual and commercial issues that arise.
• Provide regular reports on the financial position of projects, including forecasts of final costs.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure that all parties are kept informed of progress and any changes to the project scope or cost.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in quantity surveying, specifically with MEPS systems in construction projects.
• Proven experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and contract administration.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project demands and schedules.
