Senior Paralegal

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of paralegal experience (minimum 5 years required), excellent English skills and the ability to work independently with minimal training.
Key Responsibilities Docket Management: Review dockets, track deadlines, update case management systems, and ensure important dates are not missed. Court Filings: Prepare and submit filings on NYSCEF (New York) and New Jersey court filing systems. Document Retrieval: Pull relevant documents from dockets and organize them for attorney review. Legal Correspondence: Draft, revise, and format letters, motions, and other legal documents as requested. Email & Communication: Respond to client or court emails professionally and promptly, draft communications when directed. Legal Research: Perform basic legal research as needed. General Support: Handle ad hoc administrative tasks related to case preparation and management.
Requirements Experience: Minimum 5 years as a paralegal (7+ years strongly preferred). U.S. Legal Knowledge: Familiar with U.S. litigation process, court filings, and legal terminology. Technical Skills: Proficient with online court filing systems (NYSCEF, NJ Courts), Microsoft Office/Google Suite, and basic case management systems. Communication: Excellent written and spoken English. Strong ability to draft and revise documents. Proactivity: Willing to ask clarifying questions and take initiative to keep cases moving forward. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when updating deadlines and preparing legal documents.
Nice to Have Prior experience supporting a solo attorney or small law firm. Familiarity with case management software (Clio, MyCase, or similar). Ability to work U.S. Eastern Time business hours. $800 - $900 a month Why Join Assist World?
