About the Role

You'll be the go-to expert ensuring seamless data storage, backup, and recovery across hybrid environments. This includes managing IBM STaaS and BaaS systems, optimizing storage performance, and ensuring every byte is secure, compliant, and recoverable.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and manage IBM STaaS and BaaS solutions.
  • Maintain and optimize DAS, NAS, SAN, and cloud block storage systems.
  • Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Monitor storage performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Handle capacity planning and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with data security policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT and infrastructure teams.
  • Document configurations, updates, and procedures.
  • Stay updated on emerging storage technologies and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and knowledge transfer to teams.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Proven experience with IBM storage technologies (STaaS, BaaS).
  • Strong background in DAS, NAS, SAN, and cloud block storage.
  • Experience with backup/recovery and disaster recovery planning.
  • Familiarity with Isilon backup and Zadara Cloud solutions.
  • Working knowledge of storage monitoring and management tools.
  • Solid understanding of data security and compliance standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Good-to-Have
  • Relevant IBM or cloud storage certifications.
  • Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
  • Exposure to automation and scripting for storage operations.
