About the Role

As a
Hosting Solution Engineer
, you'll take ownership of Aurecon's enterprise hosting services. You'll troubleshoot complex issues, lead implementations, and make sure every new service transitions smoothly from project to production. This is both a hands-on and leadership-support role — you'll be the go-to escalation point and a key driver of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the escalation point for resolving complex technical incidents and problems.
  • Define hosting requirements and collaborate with Strategy & Architecture for design and delivery.
  • Ensure new services meet Operational Acceptance Criteria and transition seamlessly to operations.
  • Maintain detailed "as-built" documentation and enforce maintenance best practices.
  • Manage hosting vendors, track SLAs, and escalate when needed.
  • Support the Hosting Services Team Leader/Manager and serve as 2IC when required.
  • Follow Aurecon's Incident, Problem, and Change Management standards within SLA timelines.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Minimum
    10 years of combined operations and implementation experience
    in IT infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience in
    Microsoft Azure
    administration.
  • Strong background in
    Windows Server 2016+
    administration (installation, build, troubleshooting).
  • Expertise in
    Active Directory
    (DNS, DHCP, Sites, Group Policy).
  • Solid experience with
    Microsoft Exchange 2016+
    .
  • Advanced knowledge of
    VMware vSphere 7.0+
    .
  • Proficiency in
    backup, storage, vulnerability, and patch management
    .
  • Familiarity with
    ServiceNow
    or similar ITSM tools.
  • Experience working in
    ISO-governed or regulated environments
    .

Good-to-Have

  • Certifications:
    ITIL, Microsoft, VMware, Azure
    , or equivalent.
