WHAT IS THE JOB LIKE? Perform pre-arbitration case assessment, determine appropriate case strategy, and advise the client on costs, issues and potential risks;Gain mastery of the arbitration procedure and applicable law to the dispute;Conduct investigations into allegations of fraud and gather, collate and review relevant evidence and information to pursue civil and/or criminal action;Provide legal advice concerning appropriate remedial measures; perform initial case investigation and assessment, and evidence gathering on referrals made by SBUs and/or CCUs;Identify and analyze legal issues, conflicts and advise SBUs and/or CCUs on risks and solutions;Review and prepare demand letters, pleadings, judicial affidavits, witness statements, settlement agreements, other legal documents, correspondences and administrative reports and ensure timely submission thereof;Conduct legal analysis, legal research, examination of witnesses, witness preparation and lectures on relevant and timely litigation-related topics;Represent and assist the SBUs and/or CCUs at meetings, amicable negotiations or mediations, hearings and trials;Provide administrative and legal support to the Litigation Department;Remain abreast of changes in relevant laws and jurisprudence and contribute to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the Litigation Department;Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the General Counsel, Head of the Litigation Department, and Supervising Lawyer.
