ICT Security Specialist – SAP Basis Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and monitor IT security controls across institutional systems to safeguard data and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and security audits to identify and mitigate threats.
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely escalation, resolution, and documentation of issues.
  • Develop and maintain IT security policies, technical standards, backup/recovery procedures, and incident response protocols in line with best practices.
  • Administer access management, user roles, and authorizations to enforce least-privilege principles and strengthen data protection.
  • Support system upgrades, integrations, and change management processes to ensure secure and reliable IT operations.
  • Provide technical training, security awareness, and knowledge-sharing sessions to staff and end-users.
  • Provide SAP administration support to the Finance Division to ensure secure, stable, and efficient financial operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors, auditors, and technical teams to ensure compliance and effective resolution of security-related issues.
  • Perform other related duties in support of ICTO's information security, risk management, and enterprise system administration.

Qualifications for the Position

  • Graduate of Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or other related technical fields. Postgraduate studies or certifications in SAP Basis, Cybersecurity, or IT Service Management (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, CISM, SAP Certified Technology Associate) are an advantage.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in IT security operations and systems administration, with at least 3 years specializing in SAP Basis administration, security management, or enterprise systems support.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk assessment methodologies, and security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls).
  • Hands-on experience with security monitoring and incident response tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
  • Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), encryption technologies, and data protection best practices.
  • Strong background in SAP system administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, transport management, patching, backup/recovery, and system upgrades.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing SAP security roles, authorizations, and compliance controls, ensuring data protection and regulatory alignment.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, security protocols, troubleshooting guides, and system performance benchmarks.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and diagnostic skills, with the ability to prioritize, resolve, and mitigate risks under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with functional teams, technical staff, management, and external vendors.
  • Experience in planning and delivering technical training, user orientations, or knowledge-sharing sessions related to SAP and IT security practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple security and system administration initiatives, assess risks, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery and system reliability.
