DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Coordinate and assist projects and perform errands pertaining to farm development, including, but not limited to, irrigation, fencing, pasture development, cultivation, planting, farm building construction, leveling, earthmoving, trenching, and drainage.

· Coordination with adjacent farms about their concerns about complaints and concerns related to farm development.

· Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as tractors, bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes for various farm development projects.

· Report and assist the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineer in performing tasks and responsibilities for farm development.

· Coordinate with the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineer to determine the specific requirements for each project, operate the equipment accordingly, and coordinate necessary tasks with other stakeholders.

· Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the safe operation of equipment and minimize accidents or damage.

· Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

· Collaborate with other farm employees, contractors, and suppliers under superiors' supervision to ensure project completion.

· Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and project progress.

· Adhere to the farm's policies and procedures for the efficient use of fuel, oil, and other resources.

· Assist the logistics and other departments on special driving requirements per the immediate head's approval.

· Other tasks given by superiors as per need of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Level:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Degree / Course:

Not applicable

Behavioral Competencies:

Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, teamwork, and a commitment to safety.

Technical Skills:

Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge, ability to use hand and power tools.

Years of Related Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation and mechanic jobs.
