Job Description The Veterinary Service & Training Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to Sales and Farm customers in terms of disease control and swine/poultry management to help maintain customers and generate sales. Responsibilities Technical Support to Farm Segment Prospecting Phase – provide assistance to Territory Business Manager for large farms and other Territory Business Managers in assessing the health status of animals of potential farm customers. Conduct profiling based on data gathered from actual farm performance parameters of potential farm customers and compare it with the existing and acceptable performance standards. Analyze and assess the data on herd/flock health status to identify veterinary needs of the prospect farm customer; make recommendations based on identified needs. Collaborate with Territory Business Managers in preparing a plan of engagement to prospect customers based on data gathered. Assist the Sales team during product presentations and product launches. Trial Phase – use data gathered as input when doing feeding trials related to diseases or specific needs identified in particular farms. Work with Nutrition Services & Training Specialist in designing, cascading, and implementing trial protocols for feeding trials. Create reports and status updates on current feeding trials. Maintenance Phase – assist in identifying strategies to develop and maintain farm accounts. Monitor herd/flock health status of farm customers covering general health, feed performance, disease occurrence, and necropsies as an aid in determining causes of diseases and mortalities. Prepare reports on the status of farm customers after farm visits; reports can be general or case-based. Conduct training and seminars for farm personnel or technicians on swine/poultry management. Offer solutions regarding farms’ health-related concerns and, if necessary, recommend vaccination programs and medication regimens. Assist in disease diagnosis by submitting sample specimens to regional/national animal disease diagnostic laboratories as necessary. Technical Support to Distribution Market Segment Provide technical assistance to Agri-Centers’ customers in solving animal health-related issues and recommend appropriate vaccination and medication programs. Conduct training & seminars on swine/poultry diseases and management for current and prospective customers and Animal Production Specialists. Assist Sales team during product launches to Agri-centers and distributors. Technical Training to Sales Team Equip the Sales team with basic knowledge and technical know-how on swine/poultry management through training. Assess Territory Business Managers and APS to identify their training needs on technical competencies at least once a year. Formulate, design, and execute training programs for TBMs based on assessments and identified needs. Re-evaluate by conducting annual assessments to determine the effectiveness of training programs and address any remaining deficiencies. Other Duties Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Graduate of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine License Licensed Veterinarian Work Experience Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. At least 1-2 years experience in Veterinary Medicine in a farm environment, preferred.
