Qualifications:

  • With years of experience in hospital setting as a Pharmacist is an advantage;
  • Detailed understanding and knowledge of dosage requirements and administration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands;
  • Registered Pharmacist (PRC);

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Notifies physicians on any therapeutic incompatibilities, potential drug interactions and duplicate prescriptions;
  • Ensures that the right patient takes the right drug and right dosage at the right time;
  • Ensure that all near expiry pharmaceutical products are returned to its corresponding suppliers and with proper with proper documentations for credit memo;
  • Conducts daily/weekly/monthly inventory of medicines and supplies;
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure integrated care;
  • Controls the purchasing, requisitioning, safekeeping and issuing of drugs;
  • Maintains records and files of dangerous drugs and other pharmaceuticals as required by law;
  • Serves as the Drug Informant Center;
  • Dispenses medicines as requested by the various nursing units;
  • Informs doctors and nurses about the availability of new products and those that are out of stock in a monthly basis;
  • Explains direction for prescription use of medicines to outpatients;
  • Reviews, compute and records prescription charges;
  • Performs daily reconciliation of medicines returned from nursing unit officer;
  • Supervises student apprentice;
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
