Summary

We're AdSquad: An advertising agency that works with brands of all kinds – ecommerce, B2B, startups, and creators – to build thumb-stopping video ads that drive real results. We're now looking for a creative and reliable Video Editor to join our growing team

We're looking for a flexible, creative video editor who can work on ad creatives with a fast turnaround time in a creative environment with a varying workload – someone who will join our core creative team and is able to work flexibly with varying project workloads from week to week.

Payment & Role Structure:

  • This role is an Independent Contractor role with varying hours. Working as a freelancer with our team.
  • This role is structured around a Milestone structure – where payment is issued on a per project basis, instead of hourly. We will want to know your preferred rates for each project type: Each video variant type (Long-form, short-form, etc.) and revisions.
  • We're looking for someone to join our core creative team to be available as creative requests come in (with sufficient lead time).

What You'll Do:

  • Craft long-form (e.g., VSLs, long-form ads) and short-form (e.g., UGC-style) video creative content for our clients – for platforms like Meta (FB/IG), TikTok, and YouTube
  • Work with raw footage, UGC clips, stock, or motion graphics to create compelling ads
  • Follow brand guidelines and creative briefs
  • Deliver polished video ads with clean cuts, engaging pacing, and strong hooks
  • Apply feedback quickly and professionally
  • Occasionally source visuals or audio as needed

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 2 years of experience editing for paid ads (Preferred: FB, IG, TikTok & YouTube)
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar tools
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)
  • Ability to edit with performance and conversion in mind
  • Good understanding of marketing hooks, pacing, and storytelling
  • Skilled in using captions, zooms, memes, and attention-grabbers
  • Fast turnaround time (typically 1–2 days per project)
  • Communicative, collaborative, and open to feedback
  • Experience with and Slack preferred
  • Bonus: Experience in motion graphics or animation
  • Bonus: Experience creating static ad creatives
