Role Overview:

We're seeking a skilled WordPress/Linux Developer to manage, develop, and optimize WordPress-based websites and ensure efficient server performance in a Linux environment. This role requires expertise in WordPress development, PHP, MySQL, and Linux server administration. The ideal candidate will have experience with custom theme and plugin development, performance optimization, and troubleshooting technical issues related to hosting and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
  • Optimize website performance, security, and scalability in a Linux server environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress-related issues, including database and hosting concerns.
  • Configure and manage Apache/Nginx, MySQL, and other Linux-based services.
  • Implement and manage server-side caching, backups, and security measures.
  • Ensure WordPress websites are up to date with the latest versions and patches.
  • Integrate APIs and third-party tools for enhanced functionality.
  • Monitor and optimize website speed, uptime, and server resource usage.
  • Automate deployment and maintenance tasks using shell scripting or DevOps tools.
  • Work closely with designers, content creators, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in WordPress development and Linux server administration.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with WordPress custom theme and plugin development.
  • Proficiency in managing Linux-based servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Apache, Nginx, and MySQL/MariaDB optimization.
  • Understanding of website performance optimization techniques (CDN, caching, compression).
  • Knowledge of security best practices for WordPress and Linux servers.
  • Experience with Git version control and deployment workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for server and WordPress-related issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-based hosting (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).
  • Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Bash scripting, or CI/CD pipelines).
  • Experience with headless WordPress or REST API integrations.
  • Background in eCommerce platforms (WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento).
