About the Role

We're looking for a highly talented WordPress Developer who wants to help architect, build, and launch a brand-new platform from scratch. You'll be working directly with our Founder/CEO, an experienced tech entrepreneur, in a true startup-style environment: fast iterations, autonomy, experimentation, and real ownership.

This role will suit someone who thrives on building 0 to 1 products, enjoys solving technical challenges, and wants to make a meaningful impact on the careers of Filipino remote workers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the site using WordPress — theme setup / customization, plugin configuration, child-theme modifications, custom PHP when needed.
  • Build and customise core site pages: job board, member profile pages, content library, webinar pages, giveaway pages, and landing pages.
  • Implement and manage membership/subscription logic, including payment gateway integration (e.g. Xendit, Stripe, or other local-friendly gateways).
  • Set up user registration/login, membership tiers, roles/permissions, and member-only content access.
  • Install, configure, and maintain plugins to handle community, forum / discussion, content delivery, job listing, membership, notifications, email/webinar integrations, giveaways, etc.
  • Ensure site is responsive, mobile-friendly, fast, and performs well across devices; optimise performance (caching, CDN, image optimisation).
  • Manage maintenance tasks: plugin updates, backups, security hardening, troubleshooting, bug fixes.
  • Collaborate with founder (you) to shape UX/UI, content structure, and feature prioritisation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working with WordPress: custom themes or child-themes, plugin setup/configuration or custom plugin development.
  • Good command of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL (or similar relational DB).
  • Familiarity with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, mobile-first layout.
  • Ability to integrate payment gateways (subscription / membership / checkout flows).
  • Basic understanding of performance optimisation, site security, backups.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly in English (both written + spoken).
  • Proactive mindset — able to problem-solve, propose improvements, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with membership plugins (e.g. MemberPress, Paid Memberships Pro) and community / forum / LMS plugins (or similar).
  • Experience building or configuring job board functionality (e.g. via WP Job Manager or custom).
  • Experience with third-party integrations: webinar tools (Zoom, etc.), email marketing, notifications/SMS.
  • Familiarity with version-control tools (e.g. Git) and basic deployment / hosting operations.
  • Good design sensibility and ability to adapt or tweak themes for clean UI/UX.
