Job Responsibilities:

  • Design Electrical Systems: Create detailed electrical designs, schematics, and plans for new projects, including power distribution systems, lighting, and wiring.
  • Conduct Research: Research and analyze electrical systems, components, and materials to identify potential improvements and cost-effective solutions.
  • System Testing & Troubleshooting: Test electrical equipment, systems, and components to ensure proper functionality and troubleshoot any issues or faults.
  • Project Management: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of electrical systems, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all electrical work adheres to national and international electrical codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work with other engineers, architects, and construction teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
  • Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to keep electrical systems running smoothly.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical reports, manuals, and documentation for designs, systems, and project specifications.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Estimate the cost of electrical materials and equipment for projects and monitor expenses to stay within budget.
  • Client Liaison: Communicate with clients to understand their electrical needs, present project updates, and suggest improvements or alternatives.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of electrical design software (AutoCAD, MATLAB, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
