As a
Solar Electrical Engineer,
you'll be responsible for the electrical and mechanical design of solar and battery projects, supporting commercial and industrial-scale installations in Australia. Your expertise in AutoCAD, PVSyst, and PV system design will help drive innovation, sustainability, and efficiency in every project.

The Qualifications We Seek

• Minimum
  2+ years
  of hands-on experience in
  large commercial and industrial (C&I) solar electrical design and installations.
• Proven
  experience supporting Australia-based solar projects, environments, or clients.
• Bachelor's degree or formal qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and PVSyst for solar system modeling, design, and documentation.
• Strong understanding of PV system components, electrical design principles, and end-to-end system operations.
• Knowledge of Australian DNSP grid protection requirements and electrical specifications.
• Familiarity with AS3000, AS3008, AS4777, AS5033, CEC guidelines, and other relevant standards.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Passion for renewable energy and environmental sustainability.

Your Daily Tasks

• Take ownership of electrical and mechanical design for solar and battery projects.
• Design solar grid connection applications.
• Create DC electrical designs: PV string design, DC cable selection, inverter DC input analysis, and protection devices.
• Develop AC electrical designs: voltage drop/rise calculations, AC cable selection, and protection devices.
• Execute mechanical design using racking systems tailored to roof profiles and structures.
• Design cable management systems and inverter stations.
• Produce mechanical and electrical drawings using CAD.
• Generate Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and engineering consultants.
