The ERP Application Administrator s responsible for providing functional and technical support in the configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization of the organization's ERP system. This role bridges the gap between business users and technical teams to ensure that ERP functionalities align with operational requirements. The position also supports master data management, reporting, and process improvements to drive system efficiency and business performance.
Key Responsibilities1. ERP Functional Support
- Assist in the configuration, testing, and deployment of ERP modules across various functions such as Finance, Procurement, Inventory, and Sales.
- Collaborate with business users to gather, analyze, and document requirements, translating them into functional system configurations.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities by developing test scripts, coordinating user testing sessions, and documenting results.
- Provide day-to-day support for ERP-related issues, ensuring timely resolution of functional and transactional errors.
- Liaise with ERP vendors or internal IT teams for issue escalation, patch updates, and version upgrades.
2. Data & Master File Management
- Support master data setup, validation, and maintenance for customers, vendors, items, and chart of accounts.
- Conduct data cleansing and quality assurance to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of ERP data.
- Participate in data migration efforts during system implementation or upgrades.
- Monitor data integrity and resolve discrepancies by coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Establish and enforce data governance standards and naming conventions within the ERP system.
3. Reporting & Business Intelligence
- Develop and maintain standard and ad hoc reports using ERP-native reporting tools or external BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Create dashboards and analytics to support management decision-making and operational insights.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all generated reports with business requirements.
- Train and support users in report navigation, customization, and interpretation.
Collaborate with IT and Finance to automate recurring reports and streamline report generation processes.
4. Documentation & Process ImprovementMaintain updated system documentation, including workflows, functional specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in business process reviews and recommend system enhancements or automation opportunities.
- Document change requests, configuration updates, and training materials for system users.
- Assist in conducting training sessions and onboarding programs for new ERP users.
- Promote best practices and continuous improvement in ERP utilization across departments.
5. Technical and Hotline Support
- Act as a primary contact for ERP-related inquiries, troubleshooting, and user assistance.
- Log, track, and resolve support tickets related to ERP issues in collaboration with the IT support team.
- Monitor ERP system performance and coordinate with technical teams to ensure system uptime and reliability.
- Support periodic audits, data reconciliations, and compliance reporting requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or any related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in ERP functional support, business systems analysis, or finance systems administration.
- Knowledge of ERP modules such as Finance, Procurement, Inventory, and Sales preferred.
- Experience in ERP reporting tools and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or ERP-native analytics tools) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for interfacing with both technical and business stakeholders.
