Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and expand knowledge of domestic tax concepts through continuous learning and research.
  • Analyze and apply domestic tax legislation, case law, and regulations to all assigned work, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Prepare and review tax computations, returns, and analyses for cases with simple to moderately complex fact patterns.
  • Utilize local tax research tools, software, and technology to produce technically accurate and comprehensive work.
  • Apply tax risk management procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm policies.
  • Identify and escalate potential tax planning opportunities based on insights into the local tax environment.
  • Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality and privacy policies as required by the firm and regulatory authorities.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and industry trends, applying new knowledge to client engagements.
  • Communicate and collaborate with clients, local revenue authorities, and internal teams to discuss tax issues and solutions.
  • Conduct thorough research on tax matters, interpret tax authorities, and document findings for compliance and advisory work.
  • Assess and analyze the impact of changing tax regulations and industry-specific concerns on client engagements.
  • Review working papers of junior staff, ensuring the sufficiency and appropriateness of tax analysis and conclusions.
  • Prepare well-reasoned, clear, and concise technical tax analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:

Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Relevant experience in Philippine tax practice, including tax advisory and some tax advocacy work
Strong understanding of Philippine tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex tax concepts effectively
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
