Job Responsibilities:

  • Create conceptual designs for new equipment such as but not limited to mixers, tanks, and conveyors based on project requirements.
  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings for fabrication and assembly using Sketch-Up, CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Interpret design requirements from engineering specifications, sketches, or verbal instructions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, production, and site teams to ensure designs are practical and efficient for fabrication and installation.
  • Ensure that designs meet industry standards, safety codes, and client specifications.
  • Modify existing designs to improve performance or adapt to new project requirements.
  • Provide bill of materials (BOM) and coordinate with purchasing or costing departments for material estimation.
  • Conduct design reviews and update drawings as needed after testing or feedback from the fabrication team. Assist in resolving technical issues encountered during fabrication or installation.
  • May require to do onsite visits to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Drafting, or any related course.
  • With experience or background in mechanical design for industrial systems, preferably involving mixers, tanks, conveyors, and similar processing equipment.
  • Experience in stainless or mild steel design is a plus
  • Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar 3D modeling tools, like Sketch-up.
  • Can create both concept designs and fabrication-level details.
  • Familiar with fabrication processes, standard materials, welding symbols, and tolerancing.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and fluid/solid material handling is an advantage.
  • Able toanalyze and visualize mechanical movements and part interactions.
  • Willing to work in coordination with project engineers and site teams.
  • Detail-oriented, with good documentation and communication skills.
