The Opportunity.

Join Thakral One's optical deployment initiative supporting a large-scale rollout. As a Fiber Optic Deployment Engineer, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality fiber optic transport solutions through installation, testing, and commissioning of advanced optical systems.

The Role.

  • Lead installation, configuration, and integration of Ciena optical equipment.
  • Perform comprehensive testing including OTDR, BER, power meter, and end-face inspections.
  • Support network migrations and cutovers while minimizing disruption.
  • Prepare deployment documentation and site reports in line with project standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and field teams to resolve deployment challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with client standards, safety protocols, and best practices.

The Expertise.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in optical transport deployment or field engineering.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • Proven expertise in DWDM, OTN, SONET/SDH systems.
  • Strong hands-on use of OTDR, BERT, power meters, fiber scopes.
  • Prior exposure to Ciena systems preferred; other OEM experience acceptable.
  • Fiber certifications (CFOT, CFOS-T, CFOS-S) advantageous but not required.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in field and client-facing environments.
