Your Role
As an SEO Content Writer, you will :

  • Write helpful, informative, and unique content across different Airtasker content types, such as cost guides, how-to guides, tips/ideas posts, and blog articles for marketing campaigns whilst applying SEO and content best practices.
  • Translate written content according to geographical considerations and cultural nuances to ensure articles fit the target/local market.
  • Assist with optimising content by rewriting existing articles based on their current SEO performance.
  • Keep track of the team's content calendar to ensure timely submissions for all content deliverables and projects.
  • Participate in regular feedback sessions with SEO Content Specialists to ensure content quality standards are met.
  • Proactively share insights, learnings, and ideas during brainstorming sessions and weekly team meetings.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc tasks and specific content production processes as needed (e.g. developing style guides, publishing content).

What You Need
Non-negotiables

  • Exceptional content writing and copywriting skills - Able to write both short and long-form content and apply content guidelines consistently (grammar and spelling, tone of voice, originality, regional translations)
  • Strong research skills - Able to conduct thorough and extensive research on a variety of niches and topics
  • Advanced SEO knowledge - Able to create helpful, people-first content with a solid understanding of SEO best practices (user intent, internal and external linking, keyword insertion)
  • Familiarity with SEO tools and content management systems - Able to utilise SEMRush, Ahrefs, SurferSEO, WordPress during day-to-day content operations
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) - Able to communicate and build rapport with direct and indirect stakeholders
  • Good time management and organisation skills - Able to prioritise tasks, observe deadlines, and submit content deliverables without being prompted
  • At least 2-3 years of content writing experience, with a strong background in writing B2C and B2B content whilst executing on-page SEO tactics
