Job Purpose
:

The
Operations Manager
is responsible for leading the daily activities of the freight forwarding operations team, ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of shipments. This role includes overseeing the workflow in ERP systems, coordinating with external service providers, and driving process improvements while maintaining high levels of service and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Oversee daily freight forwarding operations: Ensure smooth execution of shipments, tracking, and delivery.
  • Optimize operational processes: Streamline freight forwarding operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  • Supervise operations team: Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance performance and productivity.
  • Monitor carrier bookings of Booking/Operations team members through ERP system
  • Monitor pre-booking to carriers through ERP system
  • Montior timely and accurate update of any vessel status through ERP
  • Ensure that rates agreed with service providers are correctly applied
  • Effectively collaborate with CS and documentations team to ensure that needed documentations and information are available in a timely and accurate manner

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Logistics or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience that includes managerial experience in freight operation.
  • Familiar in Freight Forwarding operation
  • Solid experience in team management
  • Previous experience working in a fast paced operation in Multi-national Company
