Auto Electrician

An Auto Electrician in a construction company installs, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical and electronic systems on the company's heavy equipment, trucks, and other vehicles, using diagnostic equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation on construction sites. Key responsibilities include diagnosing electrical problems, replacing faulty components, performing preventative maintenance, managing parts procurement, and maintaining accurate records of repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities

• Diagnosis & Repair: Identify and resolve issues within vehicle electrical and electronic systems using specialized diagnostic tools.
• Installation: Install new wiring, alarm systems, and electrical components on construction vehicles and equipment.
• Maintenance: Conduct regular preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure longevity and reliability.
• Component Replacement: Repair and replace damaged or faulty wiring, alternators, starters, and other electrical parts.
• System Servicing: Service electrical components of heavy equipment, trucks, and machinery used in construction projects.
• Safety & Quality: Ensure that all electrical work meets safety standards and maintains the overall quality of the equipment.
• Inventory Management: Order and manage the procurement of necessary auto parts.
• Documentation: Complete job reports, maintain records of work performed, and track repair costs and time.
• Environmental Awareness: Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Technical Knowledge: Advanced understanding of vehicle electrical systems, including modern electronic systems and components.
• Diagnostic Skills: Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic equipment.
