Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on project plans, specifications, and historical data.
  • Prepare comprehensive project budgets, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.

Cost Control and Monitoring:

  • Monitor project expenditures and analyze variances against budgeted costs.
  • Implement cost control measures and recommend corrective actions to mitigate cost overruns.

Financial Forecasting:

  • Forecast project costs and cash flow projections throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular updates on financial performance and projections to project stakeholders.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize financial exposure.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare accurate and timely cost reports, including cost-to-complete and earned value analysis.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and present findings to management for decision-making.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to align cost estimates with project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment on cost-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Cost Engineer or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Proven expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis for large-scale projects.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Advanced proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

Working Conditions:
