Introduction:

VidaXL is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to enhance our software development team. This position calls for a proficient developer who is adept in Java technologies, including Spring Framework and microservices, with a solid understanding of cloud technologies, database systems, and emerging AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in the eCommerce sector, interested in Customer Service innovation, and possesses excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Java applications with a focus on high availability, fault tolerance, and scalable features.

  • Implement solutions using Java, Spring Framework (including Spring Cloud, Spring Data, and Spring Security), and microservices architectures.

  • Design and interact with complex NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB, and ensure their performance, quality, and responsiveness.

  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs for integration with various services and client-side applications.

  • Work with Kafka and other messaging systems to ensure robust data delivery and processing.

  • Employ cloud technologies from providers like Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS to deploy and manage applications.

  • Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance.

  • Lead and contribute to test automation strategies to ensure software quality.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.

  • Utilize Docker for containerization and deployment of applications.

  • Integrate AI/LLM-powered services into applications, leveraging Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques for scalable, context-aware solutions.

  • Design and optimize data pipelines using vector databases (e.g., Weaviate) to support semantic search and advanced AI-driven features.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on job experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development, preferably in the eCommerce sector.

  • Strong knowledge of Kafka, Java, Spring Framework (Cloud, Data, Security), MongoDB, and other NoSQL databases.

  • Proficient in building and managing microservices.

  • Experienced in debugging and optimizing complex systems.

  • Skilled in utilizing cloud technologies (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS) for software deployment and management.

  • Expertise in creating and managing REST APIs.

  • Experience in test automation.

  • Hands-on experience working with LLMs and integrating AI features into production applications.

  • Practical knowledge of RAG workflows and vector databases for semantic retrieval and enhanced data interaction.

  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
