Senior Camera Operator

The Senior Camera Operator serves as the execution arm of the visual production team, managing one of the primary camera setups and ensuring all captured footage meets the company's visual standards — from lighting style to LA-level quality.

This position is both creative and technical. You will be responsible for operating A or B cameras, assisting with lighting setups, maintaining gear, and executing the Director of Photography's (DP) creative vision with precision.

Key Responsibilities

Filming & Camera Operation

• Operate the main or secondary camera during shoots, ensuring perfect focus, exposure, and framing.
• Capture secondary angles, product details, and motion shots for dynamic edits.
• Follow the DP's lighting plan and maintain visual continuity.
• Utilize handheld, gimbal, or slider setups for smooth, cinematic movement.
• Adapt shooting techniques to various formats: lifestyle, product, live-selling, interviews, and VSLs.

Lighting & Technical Setup

• Assist the DP with lighting setup and breakdown.
• Ensure proper white balance, color profile, and ISO across all cameras.
• Maintain synchronization between multi-camera setups.
• Conduct daily gear checks and report issues promptly.

Content & Collaboration

• Collaborate with Producers and Directors to plan shots and block scenes.
• Anticipate creative opportunities by capturing candid and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Coordinate with Editors to provide organized, well-labeled footage.
• Contribute creative ideas to enhance framing, transitions, and visual storytelling.

Maintenance & Organization

• Manage all camera batteries, SD cards, and accessories for readiness.
• Ensure footage is properly uploaded, backed up, and labeled.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and accountability of all camera equipment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Videographer or Camera Operator (commercials, digital, or social content).
• Proficient with Sony, Canon, or Panasonic mirrorless/DSLR systems.
• Strong understanding of lighting principles and ability to adjust setups independently.
• Skilled in gimbal operation (DJI Ronin, Zhiyun, etc.) and handheld stabilization.
• Basic knowledge of editing or color grading workflows.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, multi-set environments.
• Excellent English communication and comprehension.
