Job Overview
The Purchasing Coordinator creates and maintains meaningful liaison with vendors to assure the constant procurement of supplies. He/She confers with production managers to determine the amount and type of materials needed for a project and ensure that they are delivered to the manufacturing unit in a timely fashion.

A Day In The Life

• Assist the Purchasing Manager in monitoring and maintaining appropriate stock levels across all product lines. Purchase materials, services, supplies and equipment for Production, Engineering and required kits. Negotiate favorable pricing, lead time and terms for all materials/services and record cost savings. Follow up quotation, PO acknowledgment, tracking number, shipping schedule. Identify appropriate scheduling/logistics for all products ordered, Request for push out / expedite if there's any. Contact suppliers for quotes, lead times, and payment terms. Enter and submit purchase orders to suppliers and track progress to completion. Reconcile billing discrepancies. Update the Shortage List daily. Place PO for kits, CT's and reorder points. Run Stocked CT Report-CH Updated daily. Assist with Vendor Managed Inventory, as required. Update and checking EOL & LTB with Silicon expert and EOL Sheet. Back-up work for Dept Members as required. Research and prepare bid tabs. Investigate and suggest new sources of supplies and services. Process purchasing transactions according to local, state and company policies. Stay abreast of market conditions and update the system accordingly. Comprehensive knowledge of commodities. Solve problems with orders efficiently and timely to resolve discrepancies. Follow proper channels to obtain all authorizations according to company policy. Identify and select suppliers using criteria such as quantity, quality, price and delivery date.

Associate degree in accounting or business or relevant work experience

1-2 Years Of Purchasing/Procurement Experience Preferred
Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills required
