E-Commerce Manager – Job Description

Position Overview

The E-Commerce Manager is responsible for overseeing and growing all online selling platforms of the company: Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop, Shopify website, and Facebook Marketplace/Ads. This role ensures smooth daily operations, revenue growth, product accuracy, campaign execution, data analysis, and cross-team coordination with marketing, logistics, customer service, and production.

The manager is expected to be highly analytical, organized, strategic, and capable of leading a small team of uploaders, live sellers, customer service staff, and content creators.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Platform Management & Daily Operations

  2. Manage store operations across Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop, Shopify, and Facebook.

  3. Ensure accurate listings, pricing, variations, inventory, and descriptions.
  4. Oversee order processing, cancellations, returns, and customer concerns.
  5. Coordinate with Logistics for dispatch and with Production for stock levels.
  6. Monitor ratings, chat response rate, and seller score requirements.

  7. Campaign & Promotion Execution

  8. Plan and execute monthly campaigns (9.9, 10.10, 11.11, 12.12, payday sales, etc.).

  9. Upload vouchers, bundles, product sets, flash deals, and platform-suggested promos.
  10. Build campaign calendars for each platform.
  11. Coordinate with Marketing for hero banners, ad creatives, and product highlights.

  12. Inventory & Product Management

  13. Monitor fast-moving and slow-moving SKUs.

  14. Create bundles, upsells, and cross-sells.
  15. Ensure proper stock allocation per platform.
  16. Work closely with Warehouse and Production for replenishment.
  17. Track delays, out-of-stock issues, and forecast inventory needs.

  18. Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  19. Track and analyze:

  20. Conversion rates
  21. Page visits & CTR
  22. Sales per SKU
  23. CPC, CPM (for ads)
  24. Product ranking
  25. Fulfillment performance
  26. Identify low conversion listings and optimize title, photos, pricing, and content.
  27. Use platform tools (Business Advisor, Lazada Ads, Shopee MyAds, TikTok Ads) to improve visibility.

  28. Paid Ads & Marketing Coordination

  29. Work with the Marketing team to:

  30. Launch and monitor TikTok Ads, Meta Ads, and platform ads
  31. Develop content for livestreams
  32. Create optimized product photos and videos
  33. Review ad performance and recommend adjustments to improve ROI.

  34. Livestream Strategy & Management

  35. Coordinate with live sellers for schedules, scripts, top SKUs, and promos.

  36. Ensure live assets (price lists, product cards, vouchers) are ready.
  37. Review live performance metrics and adjust strategies weekly.

  38. Customer Experience & After-Sales

  39. Oversee chat support team to ensure fast and professional responses.

  40. Resolve escalations, disputes, and customer feedback issues.
  41. Reduce returns, cancellations, and failed deliveries.
  42. Maintain high store health for all platforms.

  43. Data Reporting & Analysis

  44. Submit weekly and monthly reports including:

  45. Total sales per platform
  46. Best & worst selling products
  47. Ad spend vs revenue
  48. Inventory status
  49. Cancellations and reasons
  50. Return/refund analysis
  51. Use insights to recommend pricing changes, product development, and campaigns.

  52. Team Leadership

  53. Lead a team of platform specialists, content assistants, live sellers, and chat support.

  54. Train staff on platform updates, SOPs, customer handling, and product knowledge.
  55. Implement accountability, daily checklists, and performance metrics.

Minimum Qualifications: Qualifications

  • Educational Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Entrepreneurship, or related courses.
  • (Optional but preferred) Certifications in digital marketing or ecommerce operations.

Work Experience

  • At least 2–3 years of experience managing e-commerce stores on Lazada, Shopee, TikTok, or Shopify.
  • Experience in online furniture, home goods, appliances, lifestyle products, or similar categories is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, and platform ad dashboards.

  • Shopify Admin Dashboard
  • Facebook Business Suite
  • Excel/Google Sheets for reporting
  • Ability to analyze data, create pricing strategies, and perform keyword optimization.
  • Basic knowledge in photo/video editing (Canva/CapCut) is an advantage.
