POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sales and Marketing Officer plays a key role in driving the hotel's commercial performance through strategic sales initiatives and creative marketing efforts. The role involves identifying business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, crafting engaging campaigns, and maintaining the hotel's visibility both online and offline. This position ensures that sales targets are met while the brand remains competitive and relevant in the hospitality market.

Responsible for executing marketing strategies to promote the hotel's brand, increase occupancy, boost event bookings, and support food & beverage promotions. This role involves a blend of digital marketing, traditional advertising, event coordination, and partnership development to drive business growth and visibility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Strategy & Planning

  2. Assist in the development of annual and quarterly marketing plans aligned with occupancy and revenue goals.

  3. Work closely with the sales and revenue team to plan campaigns based on seasonality, trends, and business needs.
  4. Identify target markets and customer segments to tailor marketing initiatives effectively.
  5. Support brand positioning strategies to distinguish the hotel from competitors.

  6. Digital Marketing & Online Presence

  7. Manage and maintain the hotel's social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) with regular and engaging posts.

  8. Plan and implement paid ad campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram Ads) in coordination with digital agencies or in-house creatives.
  9. Maintain and update the hotel's website and online booking platforms with promotions and event information.
  10. Monitor SEO performance and manage blog content to increase website visibility.
  11. Handle email marketing, newsletters, and SMS campaigns to maintain guest engagement.

  12. Content Creation & Branding

  13. Create visual and written content for digital and print marketing materials.

  14. Supervise photo and video shoots for rooms, amenities, and events.
  15. Ensure consistent branding across all marketing collaterals and guest touchpoints.
  16. Maintain a brand asset library including logos, templates, high-resolution images, and videos.

  17. PR, Events, and Community Engagement

  18. Build relationships with media outlets, influencers, bloggers, and tourism offices.

  19. Draft press releases and coordinate PR events and media familiarization tours (media fam trips).
  20. Assist in the planning and promotion of in-house events, holiday activations, and F&B promos.
  21. Represent the hotel at trade fairs, forums, and local business networking events.

  22. Partnerships, Sponsorships, and Collaborations

  23. Identify partnership opportunities with local businesses, schools, travel agencies, and lifestyle

brands.

  • Prepare proposals and pitch decks for sponsorships, collaborations, and barter agreements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and collaborators for cross-promotional campaigns and events.

  • Guest Engagement & Reputation Management

  • Monitor and respond to guest reviews on Google, TripAdvisor, , and OTAs.

  • Coordinate with operations teams to address feedback and improve guest experience.
  • Implement guest loyalty and referral campaigns to encourage repeat bookings.

  • Marketing Administration

  • Maintain marketing budget records, quotations, and supplier contracts.

  • Track ROI of marketing campaigns and submit monthly performance reports.
  • Coordinate with creatives, printers, photographers, and media agencies.
  • Ensure timely procurement and distribution of collaterals (menus, flyers, event posters, room displays).

  • Sales Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business leads through networking, cold calls, industry events, and digital platforms.

  • Handle inquiries for corporate accounts, group reservations, weddings, and private functions.
  • Prepare competitive proposals, quotations, and presentations customized to client needs.
  • Follow up on leads to convert prospects into confirmed bookings.
  • Maintain and update a client database (CRM) with relevant contact history and follow-up actions.
  • Conduct regular sales calls and hotel presentations to key accounts.
  • Collaborate with the reservations and front office

team to maximize occupancy and yield.

  2. Assist in formulating marketing strategies aligned with the hotel's business goals.

  3. Plan and implement seasonal promotions, special offers, and events to drive sales.
  4. Oversee the production of marketing materials, both print and digital.
  5. Manage the hotel's presence across online platforms, including OTAs , Agoda, etc.), Google, and social media.
  6. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using analytics tools.
  7. Build and maintain relationships with influencers, media, and tourism boards for collaborative marketing.

  8. Event Coordination Support:

  9. Assist with planning and executing in-house events such as launches, holiday promotions, expos, and media visits.

  10. Ensure smooth coordination with the Banquet, F&B, and Events team for seamless client experiences.
  11. Collect post-event feedback and prepare reports for internal evaluation.
