Job Overview:

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures, roads, bridges, water systems, and other infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Planning: Develop detailed plans, specifications, and designs for civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, drainage systems, water supply, and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Project Management: Manage and supervise the progress of civil engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Site Evaluation: Conduct site assessments, surveys, and inspections to determine project feasibility and compliance with environmental and zoning regulations.
  • Technical Analysis: Perform structural, hydraulic, geotechnical, and traffic flow analysis to support the planning and design of infrastructure projects.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with architects, urban planners, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, and adhere to safety standards and quality assurance practices.
  • Budgeting and Cost Estimation: Prepare cost estimates and budgets for projects and track expenses to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare technical reports, progress reports, and other project documentation to communicate project status, risks, and updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field .
  • Experience: years of experience in civil engineering, including experience in project design, management, and execution.
  • Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in civil engineering design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
