Job Description – Buyer / Procurement Specialist (Raw Materials)

The Buyer/Procurement Specialist for Raw Materials will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for both major and minor raw materials essential to the company's manufacturing operations. This role ensures timely and cost-efficient sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management to maintain consistent supply and support production requirements.

Scope of Raw Materials:

• Major Raw Materials: wheat, flour, fats, oils, feed vitamins, feed micro, cocoa, milk, cheese, glucose, corn-based products, sugar, fresh eggs and produce, nuts, grains, and other farm-sourced materials.
• Minor Raw Materials: flavors, spices, seasonings, texturizers, colors, emulsifiers, additives, vitamins, preservatives, bread improvers, and baking ingredients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure both major and minor raw materials in line with production needs and company quality standards.
• Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate pricing, and secure long-term supply agreements.
• Monitor raw material market trends, costs, and availability to support forecasting and inventory planning.
• Coordinate closely with manufacturing, R&D, and quality teams to align procurement with operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, supplier documentation, and ERP system updates.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support cost optimization initiatives while safeguarding supply continuity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Food Technology, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in FMCG, food manufacturing, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of raw material sourcing and supplier management.
• Proficiency in ERP or purchasing systems (e.g., SAP).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Willing to be based in Ortigas or Novaliches.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php35, Php45,000.00 per month
