About the role

This is a full-time role as a Machine Set-up/Fabrication Assistant Manager at Furukawa Automotive Systems Lima Philippines, Inc. based in Lipa City, Batangas. In this position, you will play a key role in overseeing the machine set-up and fabrication processes to ensure production efficiency and quality standards are met for the company.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of machine operators and fabrication technicians

  • Develop and implement processes and procedures for efficient machine set-up and fabrication

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems that arise during production

  • Monitor and maintain production equipment to ensure optimal performance

  • Analyze production data and provide recommendations for process improvements

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality and environmental regulations

  • Provide training and development opportunities for the production team

  • Collaborate with other departments to align production activities with overall business objectives

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a machine set-up or fabrication managerial role within the manufacturing industry

  • Strong technical understanding of production equipment, materials and fabrication processes

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve targets and maintain high standards

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics and technical manuals

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in manufacturing, engineering or a related field would be an advantage
